I'm not saying that the drawing is not good. However, the hands (particularly the right hand) look "wooden", compared to the original. In the Mona Lisa, her hands are just as important as her smile.

Now, don't get me wrong. The drawing is superb, but when it is compared to the original painting, the caliber changes. Hence, the critique.

You are such a sweet soul, Leah! You don't have to apologize. I'm not trying to be too critical of you or the artist (ArtisAllan), just speak my opinion. :D

Hey man)) Can you tell me please which type of paper is better for ballpoint pen drawing?? I think about buying watercolor hot pressed paper but firstly wanna know your opinion))

Super white paper is a must as the light of your drawing is materialised by the whiteness of the paper. Personally, I like smooth paper like Bristol or super white drawing cardboard but it very depend of you. You have to try. Some will draw on canvas, some on Super white cardboard and some on more structured paper like watercolor paper. My advise would be try different kind of paper and keep the one you are more comfortable with :) but keep it super white and avoid those that get yellowish with time like some Canson paper ;)

All your works are just unbelievable! Can you tell please if there's no difference which pens to use? I've just bought a pack of staedtler ball pens. Can those pens reach such smoothness like you do with yours or it's only your pens can do it??)))) Thanx in future...

what type of ballpoints did you use? (bic, staedtler...etc.) and where did you get the yellow ballpoint? seems pretty hard to find a yellow ballpoint... :(

Thanks for your answer :)

I've found them on the internet...BUT unfortunately they are NOT available here in switzerland :(
i asked various BIC-Sellers and they even asked BIC themselve...but they answered they are not available in switzerland.

so now my next question: do you know perhaps some good Webshop who sells the BIC Pocket Scents and will also deliver them to switzerland?

thank you very much
